‘Lao Ban’ Beancurd

Apparently people flock to this little stall at Old Airport Road for its bean-curd; busy and hectic lives, but they gotta have bean-curd. Actually, soy custard/pudding is a more apt description, and it is actually the distinguishing factor between this and the original invention. It is so milky and silky, you could almost lap it up like a cat with her milk.

‘Lao Ban’ is Mandarin, and it translates into ‘old couple’. So this little cartoonish couple has become iconic, and I wonder if this novelty will last. Still, savor first.
