In a rustic neighborhood

This particular weekend I happened to be traversing through this old neighborhood to Tiong Bahru hawker center, which has a rural charm attached to it. As you walk, the pace of life gradually, seemingly, slows down as you walk past senior citizens and rows of old fashioned houses, each with their own rack of clothesline out in the yard. I haven’t found a place quite like this.

Pottery & botany outside of their homes.

They had to monopolize the road to food heaven.

Well many people transit through this stretch to reach the hawker center, which still offers a reasonable bang for your buck in today’s times. I’m hardly a food connoisseur but hey, the place I have dinner every work day has to be at least 20% pricier alongside mediocre food.
