Regaining wireless flash capabilities

IMG_7862-2

Switching to the 6D meant that I lost wireless flash trigger capabilities; there is no pop up flash! Being able to trigger flash off-camera does a whole lot of things, opening up creative doors. I made a financially sensible purchase, a Chinese wireless flash trigger from Aputure (what, intended spelling?) named the Trigmaster 2.4 gighz.

Basically these are manual flash triggers; you gotta set the flash power in advance. TTL metering is always nice, but pricey. For macro photography I can’t see it hurting much (yet). This has been a wet week so here’s a flower in advance, cheers.

    1. hi Marcus, thanks for dropping by! These are strictly manual (non TTL) and they were about $45 USD for a set i would say.

I hope you like the 6D as much as I do; I came from a 550D. Happy shooting 🙂
